As digital learning expert at Leyden Academy Marie-Louise is involved in the development of online learning platforms and learning programmes, such as MOOC’s. She is also one of the coordinators of EIT Health’s Education Campus – a partnership of Leyden Academy – in the provision of education for professionals in the European context.
After studying Bookstore & Publishing House at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam Marie-Louise became a publisher. Since then she gained 20 years of experience in marketing and media at companies such as TMG, Sdu and Sanoma.
In recent years Marie-Louise’s interest focussed on online learning and e-learning. At Sanoma she won the Mobile Accelerator Fund with an idea for learning start-up Ucourse.nl. In 2015 Marie-Louise was part of a team that developed Listr.nl, an educational tool.
Further, Marie-Louise has always had affinity with the elderly audience. In 2001, she introduced a specialized models- and casting agency for over-50s, called The Seniors models & casting.
