Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing was established in November 2008, as an initiative of Vereniging Aegon. Since June 2012, this collaboration has been strengthened by the Jo Visser foundation. Both partners are invaluable to Leyden Academy, in our mission to improve the quality of life for older people.
We work together closely with the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). We are partner in the Dutch DuSRA-VOILA consortium, and are a proud member of the International Longevity Centre (ILC) Global Alliance.
Furthermore, we work together with various universities, fellow institutes, ministries, municipalities, foundations, associations, as well as with elderly care and welfare organizations in The Netherlands and abroad.
